Plains of Blood
An old stone town located high in the mountains. The city was founded in 1530 by Spaniard Nuño de Guzmán who worked under Hernán Cortés. One of Mexico’s great silver-mining areas the rest of its economy is supplimented by agriculture mainly corn, beans, wheat, pumpkins, sabila and agave for Tequila production. Some herding occurs but it is difficult in the high rocky terrain.
